The Shrews are mulitplying...
Well, I just realized something today. I'm sick of my website completly sucking. So, with that thought in mind, I went back in and with Brandon's help, cleaned up the code. I'm making plans to keep the updates coming, redoing the downloads section and photo section are on the list. It also seems that there are some rather angry shrews on the loose..
In school-related news... The Special Olympics cancelation today really rained on my parade, not to mention the athelete's. All I showed up with were my cameras and tripod. So boy was I excited at the end of first period when Grasso announced to the assembly that the olympcis were canceled. I thought that the day would be boring, but boy. I was off by a longshot. Come second period, Brand was giving a calc test. I didn't think I was going to take it, seeing as I wasn't planning on being in attendance, along with the fact I was at the science fair until 11 PM the night before. So of course, calculus is the last thing on my mind. I asked her if I was required to take the test, boy, she snapped. I was yelled at as I tried to argue about how unprepared I was, along with the fact that Grasso had made an announcement asking teachers to not give work to the students from special olympics. So, stomach sick from my feelings of anger and hurt, I sat down. I received a pencil and calculator from Brand, and succeded in failing the test. Now, I know this for a fact , because fewer than half of the questions had been answered.
So, you see this and say, "You knew she was giving a test, why didn't you study before then?" It's just not that easy.. Calculus isn't like History, where you can walk in and look over some names and dates in a second and pick up. In Calculus, you need to spend time going over a topic to prepare, and that is something I obviously did not believe I had to do. So, because of support from all of my teachers.(Yes, every teacher of mine felt that Brand's actions were wrong, take that Brand.) I went to Grasso's office and filed a complaint about the test. She was very supportive and revealed another student had already talked to her about it. She said she would talk to Brand and that some teachers had not understood her announcement or had ignored it(as in Brand's case). This really lifted the quesy feeling from my stomach. I can take failure, but not when it's forced upon me. In Sixth period, there was a nice luncheon held for all of the special olympic volunteers and the school olympians, we dined heavily on the food that was destined for the mid-day meal of the special olympics. This helped cheer me up even more.
So, from a horrible morning, I managed to have a half decent day.
Now, my bed is calling, this is the Shrew, Over and Out.
